What's a good price for a M1911

I have a customer who can't make up his mind on how much he wants for an original M1911 45 cal Colt with matching #s. Don't want to offer too much or too little. I've only seen pics but it looks to be in great condition.
thanks in advance

What's a good price for a car?

There is a lot of variation depending on what it is. Is it a USGI from WWI, or a commercial job from 1960? Or is it really a M1991? Is it stamped US Property? Etc., etc.

Offer him 500 bucks. That's a fair price.

Anywhere from $800 to several thousand. It really depends on condition, markings, model, etc.
